Our story

Steeped in history, still the local

The Auld House has stood in the heart of rural County Down since 1806. Moneyreagh puts us surprisingly close to Belfast city centre, and a network of country roads brings Comber, Newtownards and Hillsborough within easy reach.

Food and drink are served all day, every day. The menu runs from seasonal favourites to a few signature dishes of our own, built on produce sourced close to home. There is a dedicated children's menu, and we are glad to look after special dietary requirements with a little notice.

What to expect

Food, drink and a warm welcome

Seasonal favourites and signature dishes, built on locally sourced produce. Children's menu always available.

    Lunch and evening favourites, seven days a week, from a bite at the bar to a proper sit-down.

  • Sunday lunch

    Our busiest sitting of the week, served 12:00 to 20:00 with fresh seasonal vegetables.

  • Dietary needs

    Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Tell us when you book and the kitchen will note it.

A substantial function room with its own private entrance

Family gatherings, funeral receptions and business days, looked after with set menus to suit all budgets.
